When you attend for a test of any kind you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results. If you choose to contact the surgery for test results please give at least 3 working days and ring after 1pm, this will allow the clinician to view the result and to comment on the result.

Please note any tests that are ordered by a hospital consultant such as MRI - these results do not return routinely to the practice but to the consultant ordering them. It is the consultant's responsibility to act on the results. If you have not received the results please contact the consultant's secretary.

Our reception staff can only give the clinicians comment on any result, if you require further information please book a telephone appointment with the appropriate clinician.

Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.
